The Indio International Tamale Festival is Southern California’s premier celebration of tamales, community, and culture—right in the heart of the Coachella Valley. Since 1992, this family-friendly festival has welcomed thousands of guests, food lovers, and vendors from across Greater Palm Springs and beyond. Recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest tamale festival, it features authentic homemade tamales from local tamaleros, artisan booths, live music, and unforgettable entertainment.
